Starting from the main car park opposite the Malvern Hills Hotel and taking in Herefordshire Beacon (British Camp). The walk is one of my favourites.
We walk around the side of British Camp and enjoy far reaching views of south Worcestershire. The path then climbs (with some steps) up the back of British Camp (an old iron age fort) and leads us to the spine and then the peak, where Herefordshire competes for our eye.
The dogs can generally run free after the first five minutes and will enjoy the freedom of the hills. The walk is likely to take an hour or so, depending on how fast we walk.
There is a large car park opposite the hotel, which is found on the junction of the A449 Malvern to Ledbury road, with Jubilee Drive (well worth a drive after the walk). This is where we shall meet. The cost of the car park is £3. There are toilets and also a popular cafe with outside seating only.
